Why Define After Hours?

The System Parameter tab for defining after hours exists solely to assist with immobilisation for Driver ID, Digital Output 1, Alternative Heartbeat, and Alternative Logging. The tab's main purpose is to provide a centralised location for defining working hours for each day of the week so that this information can be used elsewhere.

After Hours Trip Digital Input

To allow an end platform to generate an alert to the end user, you can select any digital input for the device here such that its value will change from a 0 to a 1 if a trip occurs after hours.

Auto-Recovery Mode Expiry (Hours)

Setting this number to anything but 0 will activate Auto-Recovery mode, in which Recovery Mode settings will activate and the asset will be tracked with a high logging frequency during after hours trips.

Daily After Hours Start and End Times.

In conjunction with the Time Zone settings, the times classified as “after hours” can be set here. Default settings are midnight.

Next Steps

Take a look at how after hours can be implemented with the examples in After Hours Immobilisation.
