Two Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second step when signing in to Telematics Guru, improving the security of your user account. It is a login security feature for a user, and is separate from Contact Verification, which validates a contact's email address or mobile number for notification delivery.

Note: 2FA is about authenticating a user signing in. It does not verify a contact's email or mobile number. For validating contact details used in notifications, see Contact Verification in Telematics Guru.

      Who needs this

Some organisations have Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled. For users with 2FA enabled, there is an additional step when setting up and signing in to their account.

      Setting up Two Factor Authentication

      1. Click on send verification email.

      2. Check your email and copy then paste the received verification.

      3. Next, you'll need to add TG to an authenticator app. This can be downloaded from either the Apple App or Google Play stores. Scan the QR code to add your TG account to the authenticator app.

      4. Input your password, then the code shown in the Authentication app.

      5. Two Factor Authentication setup is now complete.
